Hi guys! I’m posting this a day late because Saturday was my birthday! …which means Sunday was spent laying in bed, making a list of all the alcohols I’m not allowed to drink anymore…
Last week I had a couple goals:
- Learn how to use the iPhone’s accelerometer
- Learn how to use the iPhone’s gyroscope
- Make a local multiplayer game
So this week’s game is only playable on my iPhone(s), sorry friends. But I’ll explain it to you real quick.
Everyone holds a phone flat at about waste height. When the match begins, the phone gives the players an instruction – either Shake or Twist. When the player successfully complies, a counter ticks down. Periodically, the phone will buzz and tell the player a different instruction to follow. First player to reach zero wins! The goal was to have an awkward party game that’s embarrassing for the players and entertaining for the spectators. Considering that I had to close my blinds while dev’ing on this, I feel like it was a success.
Find me some time and I’d be happy to show it to ya!
